Instructional Technologies is offering a series of five workshops to help instructors prepare to begin teaching on Canvas in Summer and Fall 2023.
- Workshop 1: Orientation to Canvas for Sakai Users (Required) - pre-req for all other workshops
- Workshop 2: From Sakai Lessons to Canvas Modules and Pages (Required)
- Workshop 3: Understanding Assignments and Grading in Canvas (Required)
- Workshop 4: Using Canvas Quizzes and Discussions
- Workshop 5: What Do I Do with My Migrated Course?
Workshops will be delivered as live, 90-minute webinars on Microsoft Teams. Each workshop will include homework assignments that instructors must complete on Teams in order to receive credit for the workshop.
Requirements and sequencing
- Workshops 1, 2 and 3 are required in order to gain access to your Summer and/or Fall courses on Canvas.
- Workshop 1 is a pre-requisite for all other workshops and must be completed first.
- Workshops 2, 3 and 4 may be taken in any order.
- Workshop 5 is best taken after completing the required workshops (1, 2, and 3).
